Dakota Fanning. biography
Born Hannah Dakota Fanning on February 23, 1994, in Conyers, Georgia, Dakota began studying acting at an early age and had landed her first commercial gig by the age of 5.
Although still a child, Dakota quickly made an impression on Hollywood with memorable appearances in several TV shows such as CSI (2000) and Malcolm in the Middle (2001) before teaming up with Sean Penn in I Am Sam (2001) followed by playing Reese Witherspoon’s younger self in Sweet Home Alabama (2002).
After assuming the role of Sally alongside Mike Meyers in The Cat in the Hat (2003), Dakota landed her first starring role opposite Brittany Murphy in the dramedy Uptown Girls (2003) prior to giving a notable performance as a kidnap victim in the drama thriller Man on Fire (2004) with Denzel Washington.
The child superstar continued gaining attention with starring roles next to Hollywood most cherished stars, including Robert De Niro in the horror thriller Hide and Seek (2005) and Tom Cruise in Steve Spielberg’s War of the Worlds (2005).

That same year, she reprised her role in Eclipse and again in Breaking Dawn – Part 2 (2012) as well as star in the drama thriller The Motel Life (2012) with Emile Hirsch.
The young starlet’s most recent projects include, the drama Very Good Girls (2013) alongside Demi Moore, the drama Night Moves (2013) with Jesse Eisenberg, the drama Effie Gray (2013), the crime thriller Every Secret Thing (unknown release date) alongside Diane Lane, and the biopic drama The Last of Robin Hood (2013) with Susan Sarandon and Kevin Kline.
