We all know about Courtney Love's battle with drug addiction, but did you know that actor Mel Gibson helped her sober up? Courtney revealed today on Good Morning America that while she was doing drugs with some men in a posh Beverly Hills hotel room, Gibson showed up along with addiction counselor Warren Boyd.
"Mel kept coming to the door with this cheesy grin going, 'Hi!'" Love said. "I just kept looking at him going, 'Blank off!' … I know him and he's a nice guy, but it just didn't matter who it was. It could have been Jesus. I didn't care."
Gibson apparently knew the other guys who Love was doing drugs with, so he left with them to get a cheeseburger, leaving Boyd alone to persuade her into rehab. It's interesting to hear this especially when Mel encountered his own dilemma with alcohol abuse only a couple months ago.
