Is Courtney Love Replacing Paula Abdul?

Talk about a random replacement! Courtney Love told Us Weekly that American Idol wants her!

She says that executive producer Nigel Lythgoe called her office last week inquiring into whether she would be interested in sitting in as a judge for American Idol.

"He called, He was wondering if I was interested. I thought it was kind of weird but brilliant."

Is FOX giving Paula Abdul the boot or are they just trying to make the show a little more interesting? Don’t know yet, but a source told the magazine that Lythgoe was considering having Love "replace Paula."
