Courtney Love Sets Apartment on Fire

Well, one thing's for sure, she definitely isn't getting her deposit back.

Courtney Love has been renting a $27,000 a month town home on West 10th street in New York for the past ten months. The owner, Donna Lyon, is going to court, claiming Love owes her $54,000 in rent and has ruined the apartment's interior design.

Yeah, fire will kind of do that.

Donna is based in Chicago and bought the property for $8 million last year, and she says it's part of the lease agreement to not alter the apartment's interior. Yet Love has put up "ice-blue" paint and "damask wallpaper."

Lyon says: "Courtney has wallpapered and painted a large portion of the property without my consent. I learned about this when I wanted to sell the house and had photographs taken. They sent me the brochure and I said, ‘This can’t be my property.'"

Courtney also lit a curtain in the master bedroom on fire, which causes concern, considering the house was built in 1827. When you're twenty and in a band and doing sh-t like this, it's rock 'n roll. When you do it at Courtney Love's age, it's just f-cking crazy.

Donna said: "I got a call from her accountant, who said, 'Miss Love is fine,' which I was glad to hear, but I thought, 'What about the house?'"

No kidding. Also, I think saying 'Miss Love is fine' is kind of a stretch.

Courtney is due in Manhattan's civil court on December 21 to discuss the claim.
