Oh great, another divorce. Is David Arquette promoting his own line of purses, too?
We were all hoping that Courteney Cox and David Arquette would reunite after their separation. They're just too darn cute together, and they spent a lot of time with each other over the summer. They even went to Disneyland together. Disneyland! If the most magical place on earth can't save them, nothing will.
Arquette hung out with the ladies at The View, where he talked about his estranged wife as well as his elimination from Dancing with the Stars.
Barbara Walters asked if Cox's being on set meant that the two were getting back together. David said no, and added:
"We love each other, we're dear friends." But he said ultimately, they're simply "not compatible."
“That part [of the relationship] died,” he said. “We grew apart.”
When David called in to Howard Stern's Sirius XM talk show a couple of weeks ago, Stern said of Cox's support: "She’s no longer your wife…it’s not her role…Your ex-wife should not be sitting there cheering you on.” Arquette disagreed: "I love her support! We’ve shared 15 years of an amazing marriage and friendship and that relationship is still worth preserving and respecting."
It's so grown up. After all this Kardashian drama, I can't even comprehend that this is how normal people handle a split.
Most recently, Arquette has been linked to a new gal, Entertainment Tonight reporter Christina McLarty. The actor revealed that he and Christina have been dating since summer. They were first spotted together in San Diego for Comic Con in July.
"We try to see each other as much as possible. She's adorable. I'm not one to run around with different girls. I like someone that makes me feel good and that I can make feel good."
But David adds that Christina has to be okay with his friendship with Courteney:
“Whoever I’m with has got to accept this relationship: that I love her and she’s my best friend. We love each other. We’re really dear friends with each other. I know that’s hard for people to understand. But you don’t have to go into battlegrounds.”
They love each other so much, it makes you wonder...why the hell are they separated?
David was booted from Dancing with the Stars on Tuesday, but it's okay. He says he didn’t think he'd make it, anyway. But his dancing partner, Kym Johnson, thought he had a chance.
"When I started with David, he was just amazing and I thought we could win this thing," Johnson said on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Arquette interjected: "I didn't."
