Courteney Cox Lends Face to Gulf Coast Relief
Courteney Cox is throwing her support behind the Gulf Coast with a new PSA. The actress was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, and is doing her part to bring awareness to the oil-soaked beaches.

According to newspaper The Huntsville Times, Courteney plans on lending her famous face to ads that will portray the state beaches hardest hit by oil.

“Her mother is looking for some old home movies and we’ve given her several scripts. She’ll be talking about her memories of going to Gulf Shores,” Alabama Tourism Department president Lee Sentell said. “This is something we’d like to get on the air during the transition period as people get more comfortable going back to the beach.”

Courteney is scheduled to film the PSA for the Tourism Department once she wraps shooting on her current movie, Scream 4.

We can expect the ads by next Spring—and let’s hope things look a lot better down there by then!
