Earlier this week we learned that after a nearly two-year separation, David Arquette had filed for divorce from Courteney Cox. [http://www.hollyscoop.com/courteney-cox/david-arquette-finally-files-for...
Today, TMZ reports that Courteney has also filed legal docs responding to David's divorce petition.
Actually, both parties filed their paperwork last Friday and both are representing themselves. This might be the most amicable divorce in Hollywood history.
Courteney asked to drop the Arquette portion of her last name. She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason behind the divorce and is also asking for joint custody of their 7-year-old daughter Coco.
Most surprising of all, there is no prenup. That means that all the collective community property of their 12 year marriage will be split down the middle.
To put this in perspective, Courteney is reportedly worth $75 million and David is only worth $18 million. Remember, Courteney was on “Friends” where she reportedly made $1 million per episode? What has David Arquette done? A few episodes of “Dancing with the Stars?”
This divorce might be Arquette’s best pay day yet.
Just like Arquette’s divorce paperwork, the listed day of official separation is December 31, 2011 even though they’ve reportedly been separated since mid-2010.
