Lea Michele is reportedly approaching all of Cory Monteith’s friends to figure out what may have triggered her late boyfriend’s drug relapse.
The actress, 26, is “talking to the people who last saw him,” a source updated Us Weekly, as she continues to seek closure on his shocking death. The “Glee” actor was found dead in Vancouver at the Pacific Rim Hotel by staff when he didn’t check out at his designated time on July 13.
Lea, and the rest of the “Glee” family, stood by Cory when he voluntarily checked into rehab for substance abuse this past March. Because all seemed to be going well with treatment, Lea just “wants to know what happened,” the source said. Simple as that. “She wants to understand.”
It was previously reported that the two were planning to move in together when Cory returned from Vancouver, where he was visiting family and friends. Lea was in Mexico when she learned he had overdosed.
“She’s destroyed, completely devastated,” the source also said. “She’s a wreck. There are so many emotions.”
