"Glee" star Cory Monteith has died. He was found dead in a Vancouver hotel room on Saturday, according to local police. He was 31 years old.
In a news conference, police said the actor had checked into the Fairmont Pacific Rim hotel room on hotel on Saturday, July 6, and was expected to leave a week later. When he missed his check out time around noon on July 13, hotel staff went to his room on the 21st floor and found him.
At this time, there's no apparent cause of death, though police have ruled out all suspicion of foul play. Several outlets and reports are suggesting a drug overdose, however this has yet to be confirmed by authorities. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
In March of this year, Cory voluntarily checked into rehab for substance abuse, an issue he had been dealing with since he was 19. His last public appearance was with his "Glee" co-star and girlfriend Lea Michele at the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball in June.
Cory had been on the popular musical series as its lead character Finn Hudson since it premiered in 2009.
