Conan O'Brien won’t be moving to Fox after all! The late-night funny man has been without a home since getting the boot from NBC in January.
Since then Conan has been weighing his options, and just kicked off a nationwide comedy tour last night in Eugene, Oregon. But today we got news that O’Brien is headed to TBS!
He released a statement saying, "I’ve gone from network television to Twitter to performing live in theaters, and now I’m headed to basic cable. My plan is working perfectly.”
Not one for formal announcements, Conan also took to his Twitter to share the big news. He tweeted, “The good news: I will be doing a show on TBS starting in November! The bad news: I'll be playing Rudy on the all new Cosby Show.”
Conan will join George Lopez, who also has a late-night show on TBS. Lopez Tonight will reportedly move to midnight to accommodate O’Brien’s Monday-Thursday show at 11 p.m. O’Brien’s new show will debut in November. The move is expected to drastically raise the network’s profile.
We can’t wait! We’ve missed you, Conan!
