2011 Oscars-Colin Firth Wins Best Actor
Colin Firth took home the Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of King George VI in the hit film The King's Speech.

Colin dominated the Best Actor category this award show season, so it comes as no surprise that he took home the Oscar at the Academy Awards.

Right before the big show he told Hollyscoop he feels like it’s his “wedding day because [he’s] so nervous."

"I don’t know how I’ll celebrate if I win.” When asked if he has a speech prepared he humbly shrugged.

He ended up giving a heartfelt speech. "I think my career just peaked," he said while thanking his wife for sticking by him through thick and thin.
