Hey, it's cheaper than film school.
“Clint Eastwood taught me a lot about working with people that you love, that you enjoy working with, to create a family, working with nice people, good people,” explains Angelina.

Clint Eastwood is reportedly filming a reality show. And I really hope that somehow, it’s Teen Mom. That would be fun.
Specifically, Clint’s wife and two daughters are the ones filming, and it’s supposed to be a typical family-centered reality show that is set to air on the E! network. Great. More entertainment fodder that Joel McHale can’t use for The Soup.
HOLLYSCOOP EXCLUSIVE

Well, not only did Eastwood touch on it, he sealed it with a same-sex kiss. Leonardo DiCaprio plays the historic figure in the film, and in it, he shares a kiss with actor Armie Hammer. Hollyscoop talked to both Leonardo DiCaprio and Clint Eastwood about the controversial decision. Leo deflected the question, telling us:
"Oh, you should talk to Clint about that one."
So we did. Regarding the kiss, Eastwood told Hollyscoop: "I just felt like it was the right thing to do."
Eastwood was put under immense pressure during this project. First, he had Hollywood after him, saying he wasn't making the character "gay enough." J. Edgar Hoover was the very first director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the movie deals with themes of trust, corruption and morals.

Clint Eastwood’s latest movie, J. Edgar, has rubbed the Federal Bureau of Investigation the wrong way, as the organization is apparently upset with Eastwood’s “false” portrayal of J. Edgar’s sexuality.
The gist of it is, Hoover reportedly had a homosexual relationship with his deputy, Clyde Tolson. The FBI is worried that Eastwood will address those rumors. Assistant FBI Director Mike Kortan said:
“Vague rumors and fabrications have cropped up from time to time," Kortan said, "but there is no evidence in the historical record on this issue."

Leonardo DiCaprio has his pick of roles in Hollywood. He’s turned down hundreds of roles, and most of the ones that come his way don’t excite him anymore. But when Clint approached him to play closeted FBI legend, J. Edgar Hoover, he simply couldn’t refuse.
Leo opens about up about his role in the new issue of GQ magazine where he also dishes on his acting career, his father and why he’s a huge box office success. Here are some highlights from the magazine article, which is out on newsstands September 20, 2011.
On his massive box office success:
"Throughout my career, I never knew which movies of mine made money and which didn't...

Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand have already tackled the role of Esther, and now they’re giving Beyonce a shot.
I’d say this has disaster written all over it, but then I learned Clint Eastwood is directing it. Side note—didn’t he claim he was retiring after Gran Torino?
The storyline, if you’re unfamiliar with the original(s), is about a young ingénue who becomes romantically involved with an aging has-been. While her career takes off, his fades. The modern version will feature Beyonce as the young singer who falls for an older rock star.
Word on the street is that Leonardo DiCaprio, Armie Hammer, Josh Lucas and Judi Dench are all attached to the film as well. I’ll bite my tongue for now since that is a badass cast. But I’m not in favor of remaking this classic!
Beyonce better bring it!

Morgan having a doctor we can understand. He’s still recovering from the car crash he was involved in last summer, and requires therapy in his hand. But it must have been a package deal for the two guys, because the doc is there to make sure Clint is healthy too. Clint is the director on the film, called Human Nature, in which Freeman plays the role of Nelson Mandela.
A source tells the New York Daily News, "There's a huge budget for the film at stake. These guys are getting up there in age. Sure they had physicals before leaving - everyone has to. But the private doctor was just an agreed upon decision on all sides of the table."
That’s got to be a little shot to the ego when a doctor has to follow you around everywhere! But both Morgan Freeman and Clint Eastwood are such professionals that they’d probably sacrifice anything for the sake of making a good film.
Speaking of Human Nature, the movie sounds really good. It’s a look at Nelson Mandela’s life after the fall of the apartheid in South Africa during his first term as President. Matt Damon stars as South African rugby star Francois Pienaar.

Over 200 members of The Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) vote for the Critics’ Choice Awards and this year they got a new category to weigh in on as ‘Best Action Film’ joined the list of notables.
Also raising eye brows… a whopping 10 films made the cut for Best Picture; including Wall-E which Neil Rosen, NY1 Movie Critic, “was surprised to see crop onto the best picture list and not just the best animated.”
The large scale Wall-E mingles with smaller productions on the coveted Best Pic list, which shows “A great film is a great film no matter how big the catering budget was on the set” according to Ben Lyons.
The Critics’ Choice Awards is the first show to kick off the award season and it has historically predicted who will make the Academy Award short list. Rosie Perez {dressed in Amanda Uprichard with a necklace by her fave jewelry designer Tuleste} says she wants “my girl Marisa Tomei to get the nod” for her role in The Wrestler and Ben Lyons could “barely contain himself” as he announced the 8 noms for his top pick for the year The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
Are you curious to see who will win this year? Tune into VH1 on January 8th at 9pm (ET/PT) for the live airing of the Critics’ Choice Awards and keep checking out hollyscoop.com for more award season surprises.
