Clay Aiken In Trouble With The FBI

Former “American Idol” contestant Clay Aiken is making news and it's not with his music. While Aiken was flying to Tulsa International airport this past saturday he threw a diva fit which landed him in the hands of authorities.

The dispute occurred between Aiken and a women passenger on a Continental Airlines flight. FBI Special Agent Gary Johnson revealed he was told the dispute was over the male passenger's foot resting on another passenger's armrest.

Although the disturbance was minor there was an allegation that the woman gave Aiken a "minor shove" during the argument. Johnson stated, “at that point the flight crew was able to resolve the situation." The passengers were than held until FBI agents arrived to interview them.

According to reports, no injuries, arrests or tantrums were made. But the catfight should land the women in some serious trouble with Aiken fans. No one messes with their man!

Well, for your information, Clay Aiken was sleeping and may have accidently touched her armrest when his leg was crossed over his other leg. She woke him up by hitting him. How would you react if you were asleep and then someone hit you to wake you up? I would be pretty mad and usually a first reaction from waking up is hitting back or yelling. I don't blame him. Why didn't the woman contact the flight attendants to help move his foot off without all that arguing? Jeez, people. When are you going to learn that Clay is not in it for himself and when it looks like he is acting like a diva, he is just being funny and loves to joke around. But, in this instance, he was sleeping!!!! Get the facts straight before you assume anything!!

Debbie, are you Clay's publicist? And how do you know what the fact are? Were you there? You're assuming just like me. I said IF he put his foot on her armrest. But you say for a fact he was sleeping and this was an accident. Once again, were you there? And sorry, my comment should have read do what you want in your seat, but do not stretch out into mine.

Now, I'm pretty flexible, and I have a hard time bending my legs so that, while sleeping, my foot touches an armrest...unless I'm sleeping in the lotus position (which I do sometimes, but that's when I'm in my bed and have room to cross my legs and lean over them, all while snoozing away). If his foot was on an armrest, I'm guessing it was on an armrest in front of him...and that's rude. I'd hit it, too. I wouldn't care who it was or how asleep (yeah, right) or awake he or she was. I don't know what it is with these uber-fans. Nothing their idols do is wrong at any time. Sure, some things are blown out of proportion, but then again, sometimes, y'all get rabid. Calm it down.

Glad Debbie was on that plane to know EXACTLY what happened. Dayum. Perez Hilton got an email from someone who works for the airline and whose buddy was on the plane. They sent a statement along with 2 pictures from their cell phone. Debbie, look at the photos and check out the look on sweet old Clay's face - yeah, sneering at the older woman clearly shows he was "joking around." Yeesh - you must be a "claymate." According to the airline employee's email, Clay was displaying a huge ego and he was the only person the FBI asked to complete paperwork upon landing. The pilot called in the FBI because the flight crew said Aiken was being belligerant. His foot never should have been ANYWHERE NEAR another person's armrest - that's just RUDE. He can certainly afford 1st class and if he wants to sprawl out, that's where he belongs. Not in coach. I certainly don't want some stranger's foot on me, especially after that foot's been through an AIRPORT. Yeee-uck. He also could have asked for a row with additional leg room, if that was a problem, although he seems kindof short for that to be an issue. Airplanes are tight spaces and he should not have intruded on another's seat.

The plane was a commuter plane and DID NOT have 1st Class. Clay fell asleep and bumped the armrest of the seat in front of him. The "lady" asked him to stop, but Clay did not hear her because he was asleep. She then got furious and went off. She slapped his leg 3 or 4 times and cussed his out. Clay had some choice words for her in return after being so rudely and violently woken up. And I would take anything Perez reports with a HUGE grain of salt!!

What terrible reporting. The WOMAN was led away by the authorities for questioning. Clay did absolutely nothing wrong. He is NOT in trouble with the FBI. This is blatant rotten juvenile journalism.

Clay should not have put his feet up especially if it was a small plane. Whether he meant to be or not, that was simply rude behavior. If you were on a plane and a stranger had their foot on your armrest, which means up against your arm, you'd be livid, grossed out and probably demand they stop, too. Any decent person would request the offender put their foot down. Calling pushing someone's foot from where it did not belong "going off" is a bit histrionic, and it's very bad reporting to say only the woman was led away. I guess people think that a stranger putting dirty shoes on them is okay. Everyone's reporting that they were BOTH held until the FBI arrived and I only saw 1 picture of paperwork and Clay was completing it while still on the plane (you could see the authorities standing next to him). I'll bet you money that Clay's southern mother would tell him he was rude to put his foot near another person. He's not a demon for being rude, it just is what it is.

I wasn't there but a couple of my friends were on the flight and what Debbie is saying is true, he was asleep behind the seat where she was sitting, she got out of her seat and started hitting him. He awoke startled and talked calmly to her, then the flight attendants came. The FBI had to be called in because it happened in the air. BTW, the woman in Perez picture is not her-Perez is such a liar-how can believe such trash.

Well gee whiz ...That explains it huh? There is no grater authority than Perez HIlton ...It was probably a set up in the first place , just like the doctored photographs , and all the lies that have been spewed against him . For one thing Clay Aiken is the farthest thing from a Diva , but the media is going to slant the news whichever way they want. The FACTS were reported from A fan that saw and was a witness on the same flight Clay was , she saw the whole thing ...Clay being as tall as he is , his toe touched the armrest , He DID NOT put his whole foot up on the armrest. He was sleeping , and did not hear the request the first time whereupon this woman HIT HIM . Now when something like that occurs on a flight then the FBI has to be called in . Charges could have been filed against HER , but Clay chose not to ! That is all there is to it , but of course any Clay haters are going to believe the worst. Try attending once of his concerts and see how he spends time shaking the hands of thousands of his fans after his 2 hour sold-out concerts ! NOPE Clay Aiken is NOT a diva ! A Fantastic singer with the pipes of perfection and a hilarious wit , MOST DEFINATELY!!

Here are several eye-witness reports : 1. Ok guys....I was in a meet and greet with him tonight before the concert......Clay told us exactly what happened and he was asleep...he's a tall guy and his foot accidentally touched her armrest...He didnt even hear her talking to him until she began screaming at him, at which point he pulled up his visor and she started swinging... she hit him 3 or 4 times and being the gentleman that he is he did not swing back......He was not hurt......but man was he pissed......one of our other Oklahoma fans was sitting across the aisle from him and was a witness to this woman's personal attack . ________________________________________________ 2.Clay was accosted on the plane to Tulsa by some woman who was upset his foot strayed into her space. He was asleep and did not hear her ask him to move his foot. Rather than call a flight attendant to ask Clay to move his foot (you would have thought she would have done that first !) she started swatting him and cursing at him. Clay filed a report and statements were taken from other passengers. This is the story I got from the Oklahoma fans on the plane who saw what happened. Since I got the same story from two women from the plane and from a hotel staff person who heard Clay's people talking about the incident I believe it is a pretty accurate account. 3. One of the organizers of the pre-concert event was on the flight and witnessed the event. She was questioned and had to sign a witness statement and everything. According to the people who witnessed it, Clay was asleep with one leg crossed over the other (kind of parallel to floor) and his foot was apparently touching the armrest. The woman hit at his foot and told him to get his foot off her arm. Clay slept through that apparently and she got pissed and started swatting at him and smacking him. He woke up to the woman hitting him. According to the witness, they were all questioned by authorities after the flight touched down and the woman was "led away" by authorities
