If you have never been to a Clay concert, you shouln't comment...Its a parody...hes just being funny, anyone who actually thinks this is how he acts when hes seriously singing, doesn't know anything about Clay!
Posted by: someone on 08/15/2007 02:18 PM

I thought that was cute! His personal life aside, he's actually a pretty good singer. Not saying that I'm into his music, but the boy can sing. And I agree with "someone" - he's just trying to be funny.
Posted by: Chloe on 08/15/2007 02:37 PM

i saw him do this live. not gonna lie, it was pretty great and pretty funny!
Posted by: Jenna on 08/15/2007 07:25 PM

Dude... people. He's not trying to be sexy: that's the whole point.
Posted by: Rosie on 08/15/2007 11:42 PM

It's funny but does he need to exaggerate his gayness THAT much? It would be a little funnier if he didn't put so much gayness into it. But then, I guess that's just him. Man, has he gotten fat! I do love his voice. He shoulda won that year! :p

Clay is doing PARODIES of several so-called stars in his summer concert - it is a riot! It is funny, and he is making a point - about how you have to sing filth to get played on Top 40 radio - if you haven't been to a concert this summer, you have no basis to comment on this performance!!!!!!!

He is so funny, he is not trying to be sexy. His concerts has always some funny stuff, he loves to make people laugh.

By LESLIE GRAY STREETER Palm Beach Post Staff Writer Sunday, August 19, 2007 WEST PALM BEACH — Clay Aiken, whether or not you are a fan of his, is pretty much considered a good singer by most people who have ears. You also may be aware that he has a gigantic following of fans, mostly female, who might best be described as enthusiastic. But until you have seen Clay Aiken, who has described himself as Opie-like, shake his slack-clad hips and belt out Naughty By Nature's extracurricular cheating classic OPP ... well, you just don't know anything about Clay Aiken. Admittedly most of the crowd at the Kravis Center on Saturday already knew more about him, as many of them are Claymates, the American Idol runner-up's devoted fan base and staunch defenders against criticism of his aforementioned Opieness. But even the uninitiated would have to be blind not to see that Aiken - who has an amazing range and was vocally flawless - is that rare celebrity who is both a singer and a performer, equally, even though, as he pointed out, "I am not cool." But here are three things that Clay Aiken is: • Clay Aiken is a funny guy. Whether leading the crowd through a medley of television theme songs, including Diff'rent Strokes and Growing Pains, or mocking his uncoolness with OPP or SexyBack (yeah, you read that right), the boy's got a comedian's timing and deft touch with a zinger. • Clay Aiken is really talented. He is not just a whiz at the questionably sappy original songs like Into These Arms. Aiken breathed new life into I Wanna Know What Love Is, a song that hasn't been fresh since 1984, and made the theme to Perfect Strangers, which was never really all that fresh, revelatory. • Clay Aiken is kinda sorta sexy. I'll let you chew on that. This is not to say that the show, which featured a Michael Jackson cover and a symphony of Claymate-wielded glowsticks during Because You Loved Me, did not have its cheesy moments. Our man was sometimes basically doing the backstroke in a fondue ocean breathing through a cheese straw. But because Aiken revels in that, he transcends even the goofy moments into genuine entertainment, like with his cover of Bad English's When I See You Smile. He is so uncool that he sort of is. And that's a talent.

I have seen Clay at many concerts and he was just acting funny when sing Sexy Back. He is in all one of the hottest singers around today with an amazing voice!
Posted by: Cynthia on 08/19/2007 06:24 PM

People, this is a PARODY. No, Clay isn't showing his "gayness"...he's totally making fun of what songs are "hip" nowadays. Taken out of context, it might seem "gay", but you gotta see it live to understand it's totally a parody, and a stinking funny one at that! Clay can sing his lungs out! (Unlike most of today's "hip" singers...) And where does anyone get off calling him fat? When he was on American Idol, people had to make fun of how skinny he was, but now that he's of average size for a 6' 1" man, people have to say he's "fat". No wonder America's youths are so messed up about their body image! Go, Clay...you bring SexyBack!! :D

You two (writers of the NY Post's HOT LIST) are absolutely CLUELESS. Clay did a full segment of PARODIES on 'terrible' music that gets lots of airtime. Watch the FULL segment on youtube.com This shows Clay's incredible COMIC timing. Type in 'Clay Aiken Classics' from his very successful summer tour that just wrapped up last night at the Hard Rock Cafe in Orlando. Those two 'backup dancers' are actually two of the best female singers in the business; Angela Fisher and Quiana Parler. Youtube.com them, also. Watch some of Clay's 'serious' performances from this past tour and you will see he really IS sexy. (Lover All Alone, the song he wrote the lyrics to a David Foster tune created especially for Clay is etheral.)

Cathysr- the audience is laughing at Clay because he is so funny. It was INTENTIONAL craziness on Clay's part. I can't believe how ignorant (and cruel) so many of you are by just watching small clips of Clay's performances without seeing the FULL PICTURE. Geesh. No wonder this world can stink sometimes.
Posted by: jean on 08/20/2007 06:47 AM

Well heck , I guess if Clay is packing in 12,000 people in a venue he has to be able to entertain a bit maybe huh? Not to mention his constant 'Standing Ovations' for most every song he sings . Not only are people impressed with his voice , but his ability for comedic time and knack to laugh at himself leave people rolling in the isles and wanting more . Every review Clay has received from each venue has been positive and they have realized that he is a born Entertainer!!! I know of no other artist after putting on a 2 and 1/2 hour show then walk an extra couple of miles down a line of thousands of fans (some hearing him for the very first time ) to shake their hands !!! You really need to become educated and attend one of his concerts before you speak of that which shows your ignorance of what is really going on !
Posted by: Kayla on 08/23/2007 01:56 AM

he is so INCREDIBLY gay !! he must be so jealous that jt is burning it up, that he has to make a damn fool of himself to get attention.
