Warner Bros. has released the first teaser poster for the third and last Batman film to be directed by Inception’s Christopher Nolan. In the poster, the Batman signal appears atop the rubble that has become Gotham City.
It’s been the most interesting snippet we’ve heard about this movie since Anne Hathaway and Marion Cotillard were announced to be in it. And speaking of beautiful female leads, Nolan has made some interesting choices for his dark versions of the Batman story...

The Christopher Nolan directed film will be titled, ‘The Dark Knight Rises.’
Nolan confirmed the news to the LA Times and also told them that the Riddler will not be playing any part in ‘The Dark Knight Rises.’
"We'll use many of the same characters as we have all along, and we'll be introducing some new ones," the director said.

There were also rumors initially that the movie will be shot in 3D, but Nolan wants to avoid it.
He says that ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ will employ "high-definition approaches and IMAX cameras to strike out on a different cinematic path than the stereoscopic technology that, for better or worse, has become the dominant conversation in the blockbuster sector."
‘The Dark Knight Rises’ is scheduled to be released on July 20, 2012.

The main guy, director Christopher Nolan was the one person that had not confirmed it and now he's on board as well.
"It’s becoming inevitable, I’ll put it that way," says Nolan. "I feel myself falling into it, I guess. And getting it all figured out and I’m pretty excited about what we’re doing so… If I haven’t announced it, I think that people probably all know at this point that I’m doing it."
When asked whether we should assume that he would 100% be directing the flick he said, "I think you can at this point, yes."
Before Nolan confirmed the movie, Director of photography Wally Pfister reveals that they are working on shooting ‘Batman 3’ in Imax.

"I can't say until I read the script, but it would certainly be my preferred, amazing goal to shoot the whole movie in IMAX," Pfister told MTV News.
Pfister reveals that he is currently waiting for the script in order to figure out which direction to take the threequel in.
"I must say I'm a huge IMAX fan. I like IMAX more than I like 3-D," he explained. "Chris' films are so densely layered and have so much going on visually in every way that IMAX helps enhance that because of the scope and the scale of it — it becomes a much larger canvas to paint on. That's what we found on 'Dark Knight.'
Both Nolan and Pfister are not fans of 3-D so chances are they are going to try to avoid it.
Pfister worked with Nolan on ‘Inception’ and he’s waiting for the talks with Nolan to start regarding ‘Batman 3.’
"We usually have lunch and he asks me, 'Tell me what your thoughts are,' " Pfister said. "It's very casual. It's not very technical. And then we start to build toward, 'How are we going to shoot this? Where are we going to shoot this?' My preproduction is about four months long before principal photography begins.
"I can't imagine how we're going to step it up [after 'Inception']," he added. "But we will."
‘Inception’ is one heck of a movie, but we’re sure if anyone is gonna step it up it’s gonna be Nolan and Pfister.
