Talk about a case of mistaken identity! Christopher Knight, best known for his role as Peter in The Brady Bunch, was falsely accused of assault and battery earlier this week.

Several publications claimed he was being sued by his former accountant Charlie Netel after a business deal went bad. They reported that he allegedly “assaulted and committed battery,” but the only problem is, they had the wrong guy!

Christopher is now speaking out to Hollyscoop EXCLUSIVELY and clears up the false reports. Here is his open letter:

“As this story relates to me, it is completely and utterly bogus.”

I don’t know Charlie Netel. I have never had a relationship, professional or otherwise, with a Charlie Netel. I’ve never been a client of a Charlie Netel. I’ve never hired a Charlie Netel. In fact, throughout my database of contacts don’t have I even one person with the surname of “NETEL.” Additionally I’m not being sued by anyone, least a person by the name of Charlie Netel. That said, who is Charlie Netel and why is he causing me to utter his name over and over?

If I’m to believe the accuracy of recent reports, Mr. Nevel is either a business manage or accountant who was assaulted by someone named Chris Knight. If I’m to guess, this information was either gained from painstaking and professional courthouse dumpster-diving, or from aggressively blind and journalistically dilettantish Web searching. Either way, the identity concluded and reported as the aggressor in this story is wrong. All that I have in common with the supposed aggressor is in name.

It is amazing to me that a major international publication, be it Radar Online, TMZ or MSNBC, would run a potentially libelous story such as this without at least making sure of the identity of the participants. I would hope that they check facts and care to be correct in their reporting. At least that the person(s) they are reporting on IS (are) THE ACTUAL person(s), and not someone sharing the same namesake.

Everyone who knows me knows that this type of behavior is completely out of character for me – it is simply not my style.

I feel that it’s not just deplorable that such baseless allegations can fly in the media without so much as credible and mature research; but more importantly this kind of Google search reporting and assumptive analysis is a root cause of the fundamental disconnect intelligent rational people are having with the 24/7 Now’s cycle. Just because the news says it… no longer means it’s true. I guess ratings are more important than truth.

As I research my legal recourse for the baseless. lazy reporting in this “news” story and the damage done to me and my heretofore reasonably respectable image, I ask that those calling themselves reporters of and in the entertainment industry leave me out of your ratings hunt. Or… at the very least stop making shit up about me.

Sincerely

Christopher Knight

Christopher Knight, aka Peter Brady, has found something else to do rather than star in My Fair Brady. He's going to be a host! He'll be hosting a new show called Trivial Pursuit: America Plays. It's based on the board game, and will air September 22nd.

The execs say, "Chris is a charming, personable guy people really like, and we think people will tune in to see him because he is a brand. I'm sure we'll do some 'Brady' type things along the way to take advantage of that."

Well at least it's a reality show that requires a little brain work, unlike most of them out there!
We all know Hollywood is a big circus, but now NBC is taking the celebrity circus to TV...literally! The new contestant driven reality show "Celebrity Circus" takes celebs in the breathtaking world of the circus and cirque.

The show will be hosted by Joey Fatone and features hottie Antonio Sabato Jr., Blu Cantrell, Christopher Knight, Janet Evans, Wee Man, Rachel Hunter and Stacey Dash.

The contestants will attempt death-defying stunts in a head-to-head competition in front of a live studio audience. Think “Circus Du Soleil” with unprofessionals. With that thought, you know you’re going to see bruises and maybe some broken bones.

The best part of this show is that you get to pick the winner. Each week viewers at home will cast their votes for the best acts and determine which of the celebrities is going home.

The show doesn’t hit the screen until Wednesday June 11 at 9:30 P.M. ET. Until then, check out Hollyscoop’s special coverage on the set of the TV show.

Paris isn’t the only place that is seeing fashion shows. Last night in Hollywood the runway was heating up at the Halé Bob Fall/Winter ’06 Fashion Show.

The designer Daniel Bohbot received much praise for the show and his collection. I must say they had some hot dresses that I could definitely see myself wearing. The black strapless dress was to die for!

The beautiful dresses and tops were shown to a crowd of screaming and cheering fans that included many recognizable faces. Playboy Nick Cannon was entertaining several guests including actress Megan Goode who seemed very friendly with him.

On the other side of the room you found the Brady Bunch crew with the night’s hostess, Adrianne Curry with hubby Christopher Knight. TV-brother Barry Williams along with show producers Laurent Planeix and Phil Viardo also joined Chris.

Other stars in attendance were Eric Benet, 24’s Roger Cross, Deal or No Deal hottie Anya Monzikova (suitcase #10), Blu Cantrell, Days Of Our Lives’ Shayna Rose, and DJ Poet Named Life (Black Eyed Peas).

As always Hollyscoop brings you the exclusives on celebrities and what’s going on in Hollywood. Today I had the opportunity to sit down and chat with my favorite TV stars Christopher Knight and Adrianne Curry from VH1’s hit TV show “My Fair Brady”. I have been a huge fan of Christopher and Adrianne since the “Surreal Life” and was extremely excited to meet them.

In all honestly, I did not know what to expect from this interview. Anyone who watches the show knows how wild and outrageous this couple is. To my surprise they were simple, humble and extremely caring towards one another. A side that most of the time the camera fails to catch or if it does it never ends up on air. Don’t get me wrong, these two do argue a lot and are extremely hilarious, yet there was a softer side that I would have never have guessed existed. This only validated to me that their relationship is real and will surpass all obstacles.

Speaking of obstacles, Christopher and Adrianne did reveal that there were plenty before their wedding. I don’t want to ruin the surprise, but there is a lot of screaming, crying, and enough drama to last you a whole season. Christopher said, “I was extremely drunk and hardly remember what I said to upset Adrianne”. Whatever he said was enough to ruin things because Adrianne said “all my friends were saying that I deserve better treatment” and the wedding almost got cancelled. I don’t want to reveal more and to see what happens you must tune in to VH1 this Sunday July 23 at 9:00 PM EDT. Trust me you don’t want to miss it!

It has been a long and rocky road to the altar for Christopher and Adrianne. Yet these two always maintain their balance and never forget the important things in life such as their love, family and friends. It was interesting to see that these two are not blind sighted by fame and will not put their relationship on the line. When I asked if they would do another season of “My Fair Lady”, the dynamic duo responded “only if it worked with our relationship”. They both agreed that they wouldn’t force a show and jeopardize their relationship. Even if they don’t return for next season there is no need to fear. Christopher and Adrianne both have projects lined up and Hollyscoop will bring you the scoop once announcements are made. Until than, be sure to check out the season finale this Sunday on VHI . Don’t forget to check out Christopher and Adrianne’s personal website http://www.chrisnadri.com/. For all you myspace fanatics make sure to add Christopher and Adrianne as your friend.

Overall, these two are hilarious and throughout our entire interview I couldn’t stop laughing. It was a fun afternoon and I can’t wait until the season finale.
