Christina Applegate. biography
Christina Applegate was born on November 25, 1971, in Los Angeles, California and took her first step as an aspiring actress appearing in commercials and TV programs such as 21 Jump Street (1988) prior to landing her big break as Kelly Bundy in the hit sitcom Married with Children (1987-1997).
Applegate also began developing a fan base during this time with her first starring role as a teenager-turned-mother in the comedy Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead (1991) followed by an appearance alongside Jack Nicholson in the sci-fi comedy Mars Attacks (1996).
The rising starlet’s success as comedic actress continued with memorable performances alongside several beloved stars including Cameron Diaz in The Sweetest Thing (2002), Gwyneth Paltrow in the romantic comedy View from the Top (2003) and Will Ferrell in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004).
In 2007, Applegate assumed the leading role of a woman who suffers from amnesia and is on a mission to figure out who she is in Samantha Who? (2007-2009). Despite undergoing a double mastectomy the following year, she bounced back when she starred opposite Will Arnett in the sitcom Up All Night (2011-2012).
Applegate’s most recent projects include, Anchorman: The Legend Continues (2013) and the adventure comedy Vacation (2014).
