Whether it's forgetting patriotic lyrics or forgetting how to walk, Christina Aguilera can admit her blunders. And in her recent interview with W Magazine, Aguilera admitted her mistakes in her marriage to Jordan Bratman.
"At one time or another we were both not angels," Aguilera confessed. "It got to a point where our life at home was reminding me of my own childhood. I will not have my son grow up in a tension-filled home."
The couple was married for nearly five years, and although their relationship probably topped all of our Celebrity Divorce pool, Christina was worried, slightly, about the press' reaction.
"I knew there would be a negative reaction in the press to my divorce, but I am not going to live my life because of something someone might say. That goes against everything I sing on my records. I have to be myself."
Aguilera and her ex have a three-year-old son, Max; whom Aguilera says is very protective.
"He’s like, ‘No! Don't touch!’," Aguilera said in a recent interview with Jimmy Kimmel. "He's very protective of momma. It will be interesting to see how he reacts [when we go] on tour.”
According to Christina, he doesn't like seeing her get her makeup done. Most likely because, afterward, he wonders where his mommy went.
