Billy Joel and his wife Christie Brinkley got the scare of a lifetime when their 23 year-old daughter Alexa was admitted to a hospital over the weekend after an alleged drug overdose.

According to some reports, Alexa took eight sleeping pills because she was upset about her boyfriend. She reportedly told her friend she wanted to end her life.

Luckily her friend called 911 on time and paramedics were able to revive her. She was treated at New York’s St. Vincent Hospital before being released later that evening.

And now her famous father’s representative insists she's doing fine: “She is in a stable condition. She is going to be fine.”

A source told the New York Daily News newspaper: “Her friend said Alexa had taken pills and was feeling despondent. She said she wasn’t feeling good about herself.”

We're just glad to hear she's doing better! We wish the family the best during this difficult time.

Christie Brinkley has had a rough road when it comes to love. She’s been married and divorced twice now. And her most recent marriage to Peter Cook sadly ended in an affair.

But despite her failed marriages, Christie still believes there’s such thing as true love. Her thoughts on marriage, however, are now very cut and dry. In the latest issue of Ladies’ Home Journal, Christie opens up about her views on the institution.

She says, "I would never get married again. With what I know, I don't see why anyone would get married."

But she continues, saying, "I totally believe in true love, and I think couples should celebrate their love over and over again. But right at the beginning of a relationship, I would formalize an exit strategy."

Christie also regrets having her divorce to Peter Cook be so public. She tells the mag, "I feel like I should apologize to everybody for them having to read all that tawdry stuff, and having it delivered to their kitchen tables when their kids are around, you know?"

As for her future, Christie is single for the first time in a very long time. But she insists she’s doing well with the adjustment. Christie says, "I haven't always followed my own advice, but I've always believed that you've got to be whole before starting with someone new. You've got to find that inner peace. I'd have to feel, 'Okay, the time is right to be open to that again.'"

Sad news for Christie Brinkley, the Long Island judge assigned to her restraining order case denied her request.

Brinkley's lawyer, Robert Stephan Cohen, issued the following statement on the judge's ruling: "The court order mandates that since Peter Cook has the children this weekend, his parenting has to be away from his home and he can't expose them to the 20/20 broadcast. Christie Brinkley's sole concern is to protect her children."

A source close to Cook explains that Brinkley fought for the temporary restraining order "because the kids are seen in footage during the 20/20 interview."

And we thought their divorce was going to be quick and painless. Looks like we're going to have to add them to the messiest Hollywood divorces list soon.

It's only been three months since Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook finalized their divorce and he's already signing like a canary. So much for keeping things private.

Christie's lying and cheating ex-husband is hoping to garner some sympathy now that he's been painted poorly by the general media.

Peter, 49, had a little chat with Barbara Walters for ABC's 20/20 and here's a little excerpt of what he had to say.

"I'm not the pervert that I've been painted to be. The misinformation that came out during the trial is the elephant in the room. It's the elephant in the room for my kids."

Is he referring to the stuffed elephant, among other toys, that he gave his former assistant/teenage lover Diana Bianchi during their time together?
