After his second DUI, voluntarily checked himself into a treatment facility and after staying there 30 days, he's decided to stay a bit longer.
"Chris, along with his support team, has decided to extend his treatment. He is doing fantastic and is optimistic about his future. He thanks everyone for their continued support," his rep Jaime Primak said.
Klein was arrested for his second DUI on June 16 in LA after he was driving like a mad man on the Hollywood freeway. Cops said his blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit.
Lindsay Lohan and Chris Klein should become friends. Maybe they can help each other get through the tough times. Unfortunately, Lindsay has to check into a rehab in LA, while Chris is in Utah.

And it gets better—the lawyer was sent to enter two not guilty pleas. Um….what? As you may recall, Klein was pulled over on an LA freeway June 16th after he was spotted weaving all over the place.
He then went off to Cirque Lodge rehab center in Park City for the last 30 days, so obviously someone informed him he had issues.
But this attitude of “non-guiltiness” didn’t exactly fly with the judge, because she ordered Klein to show in person at his preliminary hearing scheduled for Aug. 23. She also prohibited him from drinking or possessing any alcoholic beverages.
This was Klein’s second DUI arrest, and his blood-alcohol level was allegedly almost three times the legal limit.
What a loser!

The actor was officially charged today for driving under the influence on June 16th, and now we’ve learned just how many cocktails he had that evening.
According to TMZ, Klein’s blood-alcohol level was three times the legal limit. He was given two breathalyzers—one that registered .22 and the other .24.
Chris Klein Checks Into Rehab
The LA City Attorney charged Chris with two misdemeanor counts of DUI. If convicted, he faces a mandatory minimum of 96 hours in county jail -- but could be sentenced to serve up to one year behind bars. He could also be ordered to pay a $1,000 fine, plus penalties.

Ouch! Is it really that worth it?? We know Klein hasn’t worked a ton since American Pie, but he’s got to have saved enough money to call a cab on his binging nights!

Chris has checked into the Cirque Lodge in Utah and will hopefully complete a 30 day alcohol addiction program.
Chris Klein Busted With DUI
"After recent events, Chris was forced to take a clear look at a problem he has been trying to deal with himself for years. He understands now that he can not beat this disease alone," his rep Jaime Primak tells People in an exclusive statement.
"He thanks everyone for their support as he takes all the necessary steps to deal with his addiction and asks for privacy while doing so."
This was his second DUI in six years so hopefully he's actually going to rehab to get sober and he's not just doing it for the press.

Chris was taken into custody after failing a sobriety test early this morning.
A police report claims he was “observed weaving from number three lane into the second and number four lane westbound US 101 at Woodman Ave." Party in the valley!
This isn't the first time he's gotten drunk and gotten behind the wheel. In 2004 he was arrested in San Diego for driving under the influence. He was charged with two-misdemeanor counts- exceeding the blood-alcohol limit in California by more than double.
You'd think he would have learned his lesson the last time, but nope. He's now facing 4 days in jail. Don't drop the soap Chris!
