Chris Harrison, the host of The Bachelor series, announced last week that he was divorcing his wife of 22-years.
Everyone was secretly hoping that Chris Harrison would himself become the next eligible bachelor on the series, but sadly Chris shot down rumors that he will ever be the next candidate for "The Bachelor."
“I was waiting for that question,” Harrison said Wednesday, “Getting out of a 22-year relationship, having just announced my divorce to the world a week ago, having two kids and trying to start a new life, I’m thinking I wouldn’t exactly be a great candidate to be the bachelor right now or anytime soon.”
Or maybe he just doesn’t like hot tubs?
Even though his own marriage failed, he still has faith in the love connection power of the show, even though the show has like a less-than-zero percent success rate*. (*made up findings)
“I still, and maybe more than ever, believe in the search and what everybody is doing on the show because I’ve been there and I lived that life,” says Harrison, “I’ve loved deeply with my whole heart and know how great it can be. I will hopefully fall in love and find that again.”
However, when Harrison does start dating again (off camera) he wonders if his dates will expect foreign trips, helicopter rides, and exotic locales like they do on The Bachelor?
“Yep, [they will expect] the helicopter and private jet,” he said, “I haven’t actually had a date in 22 years so we’ll see.”
