'The Avengers' In Your Face With Record Breaking Weekend

Well, we know what a lot of you did this weekend...

Marvel’s The Avengers stomped into theaters on Friday, smashing all sorts of weekend records. If you were one of the many who bought a ticket, you contributed to setting a record for the film as best debuting film in the US... ever!

Walt Disney Studios announced today that Avengers has made a dense $200.3 million in the domestic box offices so far. That’s approximately $66.8 million a day (over $46,000 a minute) during May 4-6.

"I like ... girls who give me a hard time [and] bust my chops a little," Evans said. “I like girls who aren’t so la-di-da. L.A. is so la-di-da.” Know what’s a real ‘la-di-da’ thing to say? “L.A. is so la-di-da.”

Your summer heartthrob has arrived. Chris Evans stars in the upcoming Captain America flick, and I think it's safe to say—the man is going to melt the screen.

Evans worked out rigorously to get in shape for the epic role. Hollyscoop caught up with Evans at the Captain America premiere, where Evans told us the body transformation was "nerve wracking."

"You want to make sure you do it justice," Evans told HS. "We did about four months of training for two hours a day."
