Wrigley’s has pulled a Kellogg’s and dropped
Chris Brown as one of their sponsors. We saw that coming a mile away.
Wrigley’s is about chewing gum on a two-person bicycle with your identical twin, not allegedly causing harm to your girlfriend!
Chris has a catchy Wrigley commercial out right now in which he’s break dancing with a pack of gum, singing a jingle that sounds exactly like his hit song Forever. But those ads have been pulled off the air since this weekend’s little incident.
According to
Extra, "Wrigley is concerned by the serious allegations made against Chris Brown. We believe Mr. Brown should be afforded the same due process as any citizen
"However, we have made the decision to suspend the current advertising featuring Brown and any related marketing communications until the matter is resolved.”
This is probably last on Chris’ list of things he cares about right now. But it’s kind of strange that this is the third big company to suspend their celebrity sponsor this week!
UPDATE:
Chris Brown has canceled another appearance since being arrested for alleged battery. Not only was he a no-show at last night’s Grammys, but Chris has pulled out of all the NBA All Star events scheduled for this coming weekend in Phoenix.
Chris was supposed to participate in the All-Star Celebrity Game this Friday, as well as introduce the players with Shaquille O’Neal before tip-off on Sunday. Jordin Sparks will be singing the National Anthem prior to the game.
