Nickelodeon to Keep Chris Brown as a Kids' Choice Nominee

Despite everything going on, Nickelodeon is sticking by Chris Brown, who is a nominee for the Kids’ Choice Awards this year.

He’s nominated in two categories: one for favorite male singer, and the other for favorite song for Kiss Kiss. Even crazier is that he’s actually competing against Rihanna in the favorite song category, since her song Please Don’t Stop The Music is nominated.

As of today, an online petition to remove both Chris and Rihanna had over 2000 signatures, but Nickelodeon has decided to stick with their original decision, and keep them both in the running.

The network says that Chris was nominated for his professional work, which is separate from his personal life.

It reads: "Like all our KCA nominees, Chris Brown was nominated by kids several months ago based on his work as a performer, and the kids who vote will ultimately decide who wins in the category."

Well if it’s going to be one over the other, we’re pretty sure Rihanna is going to take the cake on this one, despite all of the conflicting stories of what actually happened that night.

Chris is probably happy though, because he wrote on his Myspace blog and asked fans to vote for him.

In related news, there are reports that the alleged “other woman” who text Chris the night of the attack on Rihanna was his manager Tina Davis. She’s twice his age, and previously had a relationship with Chris when he was only 16!

Her rep couldn’t be reached for comment, but talk about creepy!
