Kanye West may have split personalities because just days after he heard about Chris Brown's altercation with girlfriend Rihanna, he called into a local radio station to discuss how "devastated" he was about the situation.
Speaking to Ryan Seacrest, Kanye said, “I really felt and feel that Rihanna is so important to our culture and pop music.” He adds, “for her taste level at her age, her song level, her style she has the potential to be the greatest artist of all time.”
In regards to his thoughts on Chris Brown assaulting Rihanna he said, “In that sense I feel like that’s my baby sis and I would do anything to help her….I was completely devastated by the concept that I heard."
Fast-forward two weeks. During a recent taping of VH1's "Storytellers," Kanye stops the show and tells the crowd, "Can't we give Chris a break? ... I know I make mistakes in life."
But the comments will not make it to air when the episode premieres on the network on Saturday. VH1 cut the comment out claiming "A lot of the stories that Kanye told went long."
The point of "Storytellers" is to have an artist sit down and play their songs in an intimate setting and share tidbits with audience about how they were written, but apparently VH1 didn't wanna hear his Chris Brown comment.
