UPDATE: Robin Roberts says both she and other GMA staff members spoke with Chris before the interview and asked if it would be OK to fire off "a few questions" about the Rihanna incident and Chris approved.
Chris Brown blew up in a fit of rage backstage at Good Morning America, and it wasn’t because they ran out of wheat bagels.
Host Robin Roberts interviewed him, asking about how he’s moved on from the Rihanna incident. Brown said it was “not a big deal” to him any longer and he’s “passed that” point in his life. I guess it’s easy to get “passed” things when it’s not your face that’s beaten to a pulp. Brown is also still on probation for the offense.
ABC insiders told TMZ that after the interview, Brown went backstage and flipped out, screaming and smashing a window in his dressing room. ABC security was called after the hair and makeup crew became concerned.
Brown also ripped off his shirt, which I thought only comic book characters did, but I guess it’s the international sign for ‘I’m angry’.
Shortly after the incident, Brown took to Twitter, writing,
“I'm so over people bringing this past s**t up!!! Yet we praise Charlie sheen and other celebs for there bulls**t."
Trashing a dressing room is a great way to show that you’re “so over” it.
Not more than ten minutes later, Brown deleted the tweet and replaced it with:
“All my fans!!! This album is for you and only you!!! I'm so tired of everyone else!! Honestly!! I love team breezy!!"
Glass workers showed up shortly after to fix the window. Shards from the window fell on the street at 43rd and Broadway. ABC security told TMZ Brown shattered the window with a chair.
What a catch.
