Chris Brown has been charged with two felonies.
In early court proceedings this morning, the D.A. filed two separate counts against Brown: Assault By Means Likely to Create Great Bodily Injury and Making Criminal Threats.
Given the fact that Rihanna had visible injuries at the time of the investigation, the crime of making criminal threats is punishable by up to nine years in prison. But a spokesperson for the D.A. tells TMZ he could face a maximum of four years and eight months in prison.
While dozens of media outlets flocked to the courthouse this morning, Chris Brown is reportedly at home and isn't expected in court until later today when he will be arraigned at 3:30 PM in downtown LA.
Meanwhile, new details regarding the altercation were released today by the LAPD.
During the altercation, which occurred on February 8th following the Clive Davis pre-Grammy party, Brown allegedly repeatedly beat Rihanna shoving her against the passenger window and continuously punched her all while he was still driving.
At this point there was blood everywhere including Rihanna’s clothes and her mouth was bloody as well.
During the fight, Brown allegedly told Rihanna, "I'm going to beat the s**t out of you when we get home. You wait and see!"
More details regarding his felony charges coming soon!
