Chris Brown Arraignment Postponed

Chris Brown arrived at court this afternoon accompanied by his lawyer Mark Geragos. He did not enter a plea to the two felony charges that were filed against him earlier today.

Geragos asked the judge to postpone his arraignment until April 6th, possibly to strike a plea deal. Chris signed a waiver allowing his attorney Mark Garagos to appear in court on his behalf, but the judge ordered him to appear on April 6, 2009 at 8:30AM.

Sources inside the courtroom tell Hollyscoop that Chris Brown's mother was sitting front row and was crying during the arraignment. His brother and sister were also there to show support to Chris, who seemed really nervous. He mostly kept his head down and had his hands behind the back.

Rihanna did not attend the five-minute session, but her lawyer, Donald Etra, was present in the courtroom. He shook Chris' hand at one point and said, "nice to see you again."

Chris was also placed on a 60-day protective order. He is not allowed to "annoy, harass, molest, threaten or use force or violence against anyone."

The judge asked Mark Geragos if there was a "no-contact order" in place, to which Geragos replied, "Miss Fenty [Rihanna] does not request such an order."

In early court proceedings this morning, the D.A. filed two separate counts against Brown: Assault By Means Likely to Create Great Bodily Injury and Making Criminal Threats.

Dozen of media outlets, including Hollyscoop.com were gathered at the Los Angeles Superior Courthouse awaiting Chris' fate. He arrived at the courthouse via a back entrance in order to avoid the media frenzy outside.

Meanwhile, new details regarding the altercation were released today by the LAPD.

During the altercation, which occurred on February 8th following the Clive Davis pre-Grammy party, Brown allegedly repeatedly beat Rihanna shoving her against the passenger window and continuously punched her while he was still driving his rented Lamborghini.

During the fight, Brown allegedly told Rihanna, "I'm going to beat the s**t out of you when we get home. You wait and see!"

Despite the gruesome details of the altercation, Rihanna forgave Chris and the couple spent this past weekend at P. Diddy's Miami home. They were photographed arrived in LA Monday evening via a private jet.

i bet he has her killed by summertime. this chris dude is NOT a man, he is stunted somewhere in his growth. and being supported by ultimate girl - Diddy - it just goes to show you. Rihanna, girl, leave this man, you need to step up to what god has in store for you, and it is NOT to be beaten by some cheap little girl in a lamborghini.
