The 2012 Billboard Music Awards took place on Sunday night at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas. The event aired on ABC.
Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Carrie Underwood, and Usher were some of the few names to hit the stage to perform. Brown’s psychedelic glow in the dark colors and flying stunt bikes on his performance “Turn Up the Music” and Katy Perry’s acrobatic “Part of Me” were eye candy for the night. Usher settled for a massively impressive choreographed dance number to his new single “Scream.”
Possibly the most impressive moment was when Jordin Sparks took the stage and made everyone’s jaw drop with her version of “I Will Always Love You” in honor of the late and great Whitney Houston. Sparks costars with Houston in the upcoming summer film Sparkle set in the 1960’s about three sisters who hit it big in Motown.

The event will be broadcast live from Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Arena on Sunday, May 20. Among the epic list of acts to perform include of Justin Bieber, Carrie Underwood, Chris Brown, LMFAO, and The Wanted.
Top contenders for awards this year include, LMFAO, Rihanna, and Adele who is a finalist in 18 categories, including Top Artist and Top Billboard 200 Artist for her sophomore megahit album “21.”
Rihanna made headlines this week for being hospitalized (again) and tweeting a picture of her arm hooked up to an IV drip where she is recovering from the flu, or maybe “exhaustion,” I can’t be sure.
Not only that, but Rihanna just released the second installment in her two-part web-documentary, “Road To Talk That Talk” where she reveals her mental and emotional meltdown when she was hospitalized for the first time back in November.
Chris Brown tweeted a link to the song on his twitter and apparently upset Rihanna so much she un-followed him on twitter immediately after! Then, Chris Brown unfollowed Rihanna!
It’s obvious the lyrics are about Rihanna, and not only that, but they are NSFW.

"I respect what other people have to say. The bottom line is that everyone thinks differently," Rihanna told the mag. Unsurprisingly, Rihanna has had her share of critics blasting her for talking to Brown.

He has sex in the Smoosh Room. But rumors started last year when Pauly and Chloe were photographed sitting next to each other at a Knicks game. Sevigny shot down the rumor but said a coupling “would be hilarious. That would be the weirdest couple in the world. It would be like the apocalypse.”

Anderson Cooper and MIA: The drama started with MIA, who tweeted, “Anderson Cooper called me a terrorist…” Pretty intense words. So Anderson shot back, “MIA you are mistaken. I never called you a terrorist. I don’t even know who you are other than the lady who sang at the Super Bowl…” Okay, Anderson: 1, MIA: 0. MIA then said that a blog on CNN called MIA a “lady Tamil tiger” because MIA was vocal about Sri Lankan civilians dying. However, Anderson had the last word, and I’m paraphrasing here, he said… MIA is dumb and those words were written by a lowly CNN blogger and Anderson doesn’t even know who MIA is.
