Funny girl Chelsea stars in After Lately, a new scripted comedy series on E!
When Chelsea Lately signs off each night, her gaggle of lunatic staffers is just getting started. And now there are behind the scenes cameras backstage capturing every moment.
“The show is a behind-the-scenes look at what happens at our office when the cameras are off,” Chelsea tells Hollyscoop.
Chelsea's right hand woman and Chelsea Lately writer Heather McDonald adds, "'After Lately' is about us, the writers working on 'Chelsea Lately'. It is shot much like 'The Office' but also like '30 Rock' in that we work on a comedy show. What is cool is that we are playing ourselves and the situations portrayed really happened to us over the years."
So what makes After Lately different than Chelsea Lately? "It's different in that I get more face time, so that's positive -- well, at least for me it's positive. People are always wondering -- and asking us -- what it's like to work at 'Chelsea Lately' and now they'll get an in-depth perspective on that. In truth, we may see the amount of incoming resumes reduced," adds Brad Wollack.
Don't expect to see the cast unfold their personal life on the show. "Happily it mostly takes place in our offices because I don't know if anyone should be subjected to the inside of Sarah Colonna'a sad apartment," says Chris Franjola.
Will we see Jennifer Aniston make an appearance on the show? Sarah Colonna says, "We have some great cameos. Academy Award winners! People were great sports, that's all I can say for now."
I'm already sold on the hilarious new show. Catch super-new episodes of Chelsea Lately Sundays at 11/10c.

Kim and Kourtney Kardashian made a pit stop at Chelsea Lately without sister Khloe because according to new tabloid reports, they've been "torn apart."
The sisters joked about random tabloid reports they hear, why Kourtney and Kris went to Glendale, aka "Armenia," and who Kim is doing the dirty with. Check out their hilarious interview below...

She showed up hoping to promote her new movie The Switch, but of course the conversation quickly turned to finding men.
Chelsea Handler joked with Jen that she recently read that they work out together, then go on vodka drinking binges. Jen of course laughed it off and suggested that they hunt for men together.
Now that Chelsea's single again, that's not a bad idea! Check out Jen on Chelsea Lately below...

Amanda was a special guest on Chelsea Lately last night where she talked about her vag tattoo.
Amanda said, "It means vagina and kind of proud of it. It's my nickname. You can't see it, but it's called Minge and it's slang in England. It has something to do with your pubic hair in the dictionary."
"You're a hottie you should be having lesbian scenes," Chelsea jokingly told Amanda. She admitted that a lot of people enjoy the girl on girl scenes, but her father has a really hard time with it.

Chelsea Lately will now air weeknights at 11PM, with a second airing of E! News following it at 11:30. Two more reruns of Chelsea will air at midnight and 2:30am for you late nighters.
Chelsea has been taking the world by storm! Her round table never disappoints (well, almost never), and the topics of conversation are what everyone is thinking, but is too afraid to say! Chelsea doesn’t hold back on making fun of celebs who are otherwise untouchable on other entertainment news shows, like Brad and Angelina. The only thing that would make the roundtable better is to have the Hollyscoop girls on it!
Chelsea continues to rip celebrities apart during her one-on-one interviews, taking a no-holds bar approach to finding people’s weaknesses. And we love Heather “Longboobs” McDonald’s hilarious impersonations of Katie Holmes and Sarah Palin. In the words of Chelsea, “What….A hoot.”
Catch her in her new time slot, weeknights at 11PM on E! And you could always follow it up with reading a couple chapters of Are You There Vodka, It’s Me Chelsea. Great with a nightcap!

Fans of the hot, hot, hot Jonas Brothers won't be disappointed in this long-awaited, song-filled flick set at a summer camp for aspiring singers and musicians. Demi Lovato stars as Mitchie, a novice singer-songwriter who attends Camp Rock when her mom is hired as the cook. There, she meets Shane Gray (Joe Jonas), a spoiled pop star who is at camp to repair his tarnished image and redefine his sound. Romance soon blossoms, of course, but it's threatened by a requisite hurdle or two. It all plays out predictably, but who doesn't love a fairy tale ending? Nick and Kevin Jonas appear in minor roles, but the three do rock out on stage together in one of the movie's many musical highlights.
Daytime Emmy Awards @ 8pm
Regis Philbin has been a loser more than a winner at the Daytime Emmys in recent years (three for 10 since 1999), but tonight's another night and he's up for best talk-show host yet again. Besides, he'll come away a winner no matter what happens in that category since he's also the recipient of this year's Lifetime Achievement Award. The leader in the nominations race is CBS with 56, powered by *The Young and the Restless* (17), *Guiding Light* (13) and *As the World Turns* (12). And PBS is No. 2 with 50, thanks to Elmo, Buster, Wordgirl and Curious George, among others. Cameron Mathison and Sherri Shepherd are the hosts.
Chelsea Lately @ 11:30pm
The hilarious and quick-witted Chelsea Handler takes a unique look at celebrity news, gossip, and pop culture with a roundtable of guests in front of a live studio audience. She also squeezes in plenty of celebrity one-on-ones and comedy pieces from the field to keep viewers laughing. Tonight Chelsea welcomes singer, songwriter and actress Ashanti, who hasn't made a record in five years. Welcome back A!! Will her new record sell like Lil' Wayne??
Doctor Who @ 9pm
It's comforting to see that even in the technology-rich realm of Doctor Who there are people who still read books. Apparently, they still use libraries, too, and while it's quite normal to expect a library to be on the quiet side, the massive facility visited by Donna and the Doctor is silent in a sinister way. Fans eager for a glimpse of the Doctor's future should "book" some time to catch Part 1 of this two-part tale.
Duel @ 9pm
This high stakes game show combines the class quiz show formula with the psychology and bluffing of gambling. Contestants must go head to head to win a big-money jackpot.
