Damn, Chelsea Handler talked about a lot of heavy stuff on The Rosie Show. What happened to her just calling celebrities c-nts?
Chelsea headed to Rosie O'Donnell's talk show to talk about some details of her personal life, including an abortion she had when she was a mere sixteen years-old. Handler says her parents urged her to get an abortion after finding out she was pregnant.
She says they told her: "You're throwing your entire life away. You're supposed to create a life for yourself. We want you to enjoy your life and not be raising a child, and we're certainly not going to raise it for you."
O'Donnell then talked about how people erroneously say abortions will ruin a person's life.
"That's not the stuff I've heard from my friends who've had abortions. Listen, not that it was a casual thing that they never think about again, but it wasn't a life-defining negative thing."
Chelsea added: “You should do whatever you want with your body, and you shouldn't let anyone tell you what to do.”
Handler says at the time she was “so delusional.”
“I was like, 'I'm ready for a baby!'”
After realizing she “wouldn't be a good mother,” Chelsea said: “I have no regret at all.”
Chelsea also discussed her mom's death on the show, and it even brought her to tears.
“I don't think I've ever cried on television before but now I am. I went to this psychic - because I'm from L.A. - and she said, 'When you feel your mother on your shoulder or you think of her, it's because they want you to. When you're driving in your car and you feel your brother it's because he's always with you when you're driving. They're there planting (memories) in your head.'”
