Chaz Bono Tells Oprah 'No Doubt' Cher Loves Him

Chaz Bono, formerly known as Chastity Bono, underwent gender transition surgery and has made a documentary about his life, which will appear on the Oprah Winfrey Network.

I’m convinced all of the men who have a problem with gender transition surgery are just jealous that the guy gets to choose his own penis size.

Bono told Oprah: “The truth is a lot of parents never speak to their transgendered kids again. That’s not the case in my family. There’s no doubt about [my mother’s] love for me.”

Bono explained that, because of the fact that Cher is an icon due to her progressive outlook on LBGT issues, people forget that she’s a mom, too.

In 1995, Chaz was outed by tabloids as a lesbian. At the age of 39, Bono began a transition from female to male. The topic has become less and less taboo, especially with so many celebrities speaking out about LBGT issues. It’s becoming so common, you can’t even get a bad haircut without people thinking you’re undergoing gender transition.
