Charlize Theron Terrorized by Mean Girls in School

It’s hard to believe that the stunning actress Charlize Theron was ever teased or the subject of bullying in highschool, but you better believe it. Theron said she was bullied and she even, wait for it, wore NERDY GLASSES! Celebs, they’re just like us!

“I wore really nerdy glasses because I was blind as could be and the boys didn’t like [me],” Theron tells People mag, “I didn’t have any boyfriends, but lots of crushes.”

Wow, she sounds just friend I know, or so I’ve heard…from this friend.

During grade school she was so unpopular but desperately obsessed with becoming popular that she did really creepy things to get close to the cool kids.

“I wasn't in the popular crowd. There was a really popular girl at school and I was obsessed with her. I mean you would go to jail for that stuff today," laughs Theron, "I was in tears one day because I couldn't sit next to her."

Hahah Jenny from "Gossip Girl" called and said she wants her plotlines back.

Theron now stars in the new flick, “Young Adult” where she plays a former mean girl who returns to her hometown to win back her highschool boyfriend, so Theron has a lot of experience being a mean girl from the ones who terrorized her for so many years.

“"I actually got a lot of the mean girl stuff from the ages of 7 to 12. I was pretty such a mess in primary school," says Theron, "But I got that out of my system by the time I got to high school and was more immune to all of that stuff."

And then somehow she transformed into a supermodel before becoming an actress? I’m not really following this timeline at all.

Theron talks more embarrassing highschool memories in the latest issue of Vogue, “I didn’t have a high school boyfriend,” says Theron, “But there was this guy, Johan Botha, who I was obsessed with. Obsessed! There was a school dance coming up, and I told my mom I needed a dress, and I bought this amazing crushed-velvet burgundy dress—long-sleeved, off-the-shoulder, at Woolworth’s. And then Thursday came, and Friday came, and he did not ask me to the dance. And I had to call my mom to come get me.”

“I think I spoke five words to him. I would lie in my bed and listen to those heartbreak eighties songs and think it was the end of the world that this boy did not know I existed,” confesses Theron.

I guess when you’re as beautiful as Theron it’s cool to reminisce about the times when you were a loser? Haha?
