Charlie's Angels

I don't know what decade this dude thinks it is, but these days, you don't pat your female coworkers on the butt and say, "nice can, toots." Maybe he's been watching too much Mad Men.

Minka Kelly has been busy shooting the Charlie's Angels TV remake, in which she plays street racer Angel Eve French. According to an insider, while on set, a staffer came up behind her and slapped her butt while holding a $100 bill.

"It seems like it was meant to be a joke, but clearly it was inappropriate. Minka was shocked and absolutely irate,” the on-set source reveals. “She was still fuming about it hours later.”
Drew Barrymore got the chance to star in the movie adaptation of Charlie's Angels, and now she’s attempting to bring the series back to television! According to TV Guide, Drew is working with McG (who directed the movie versions) on the project.

The two are now trying to recruit a new trio of angels, whom Barrymore says should be “incredibly capable, but not take themselves too seriously. That’s a tough combination to find.”

McG adds, “This is a more progressive, 2010 take on the idea.”

They’re reportedly interested in keeping Lucy Liu as one of the angels, especially since the cancellation of Cashmere Mafia. “We want to be even more progressive in terms of racial background,” adds McG, whose ideal Angel is Rihanna. Drew might go a step further with Charlie’s first-ever gay male Angel! “Totally!” she says.

As for the voice of the boss, McG says his number one pick is John Forsythe, whom he says “would always be my first call.”

Every good TV series seems to get remade at some point! We don’t know if it could top the original though!
Don't MISS out on Breaking News!
It started with movies, and now no television show is safe from being remade! 1970s hit series Charlie's Angels is the latest to be lined up for a makeover.

According to Variety, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles creator Josh Friedman will write and executive produce the show. Leonard Goldberg, who created the original series with Aaron Spelling, and Drew Barrymore, who produced and starred in the 2000 and 2003 film adaptations, will both be producers on the show.

As you know, the late Farrah Fawcett starred in the original, as well as Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith. The pilot is expected to get a green light. Now who will be the new angels, is the big question!
Cameron Diaz is just an angel at heart! She’s reportedly “dying” to reprise her role in Charlie's Angels. She played the tough girl Natalie Cook in the 2000 remake of the series, and then again in 2003 for Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle. And she’s apparently read for round 3!

Cam says, “People ask me about it all the time. I would love to do it. It’s just a matter of us getting off our butts and doing it. Totally lazy! Our work ethic sucks, all of us.”

But Cameron does say that it would take some organizing on her part to get the other girls, Lucy Liu and Drew Barrymore, on board. She says, “I would love to do, but I have no idea. It’s not anything real. There’s no tangible evidence in my life.”

We would love to see these ladies in action again! They’d better do it soon, while they’re all young and beautiful!
Are you ready for some more angels? Drew, Cameron Diaz, and Lucy may be teaming back up for another Charlie’s Angels sequel. In a recent interview with E! Online, Drew Barrymore said, "I’m so into it—Charlie's Angels III!"

Even Drew’s producing partner at Flower Films is on board, saying, "It's percolating up. It's rising to the surface." Hopefully by percolating, she means that someone is working on a script!

Drew also said, "They're hard movies to make, but they're fun."

Word on the street is that a fourth angel will be joining the mix, which is what happened in the original Aaron Spelling television series when Cheryl Ladd joined the cast. Demi Moore made a great dark angel in the sequel six years ago, so who should the addition be this time around? We’re thinking Megan Fox! Any suggestions?
It's the year of the comebacks, but this one is a little different--or should I say older!? Farrah Fawcett, Jaclyn Smith and Kate Jackson are all coming back to the small screen for a remake of "Charlie's Angels."

Smith says, "We'd like to do it if it's right. If we have a script that is today. It would be fun, I think, to bring us back together for the right reason."

Sure they all look great for being 60+ but can they pull off being Charlie's Angels??
