Note to self: Don't bring up the big "D" word to Charlie Sheen. The argument between Charlie and his wife Brooke Mueller, which landed him in jail, reportedly started when Brooke threatened to divorce Charlie and take the kids.
After a night of drinking and partying, the couple got into an argument around 3:30AM. Clearly they didn't settle it and go to bed because Brooke called 911 at 8:34AM. They were both intoxicated but Brooke had a BAC of .13 while Charlie blew a .04.
Officer Rick Magnuson talked to TMZ about what he saw when he responded to the 911 call. He said when he arrived he did not notice "any obvious injuries" on Mueller and he took Sheen into the basement to talk.
Sheen admitted that they've been having marital problems (they've been living apart for over 3 months now), and that she "abuses alcohol."
According to TMZ, the argument started when Sheen "shared a song for his daughter whom he fathered with another woman." That supposedly made Mueller so jealous, the night ended with one of them drawing a knife on the other.
Despite what Mueller told the police, Sheen denies denied pushing, striking or threatening Mueller with a knife or strangling her.
She says Sheen then pulled out a knife and held it to her throat, saying, "You better be in fear. If you tell anybody, I'll kill you." Mueller says Sheen added, "Your mother's money means nothing. I have ex-police I can hire who know how to get the job done and they won't leave any trace."
The officer did add that Mueller had "red marks on the upper part of the front of her neck," but no visible cuts or major injuries.
This isn't the first time Charlie has been accused of domestic violence. He reportedly threatened to kill his ex wife Denise Richards. The duo split in 2006, and a court issued a restraining order against him when Denise claimed Charlie threatened to kill her in divorce papers. “I am filing now because I can no longer accept (Sheen’s) abusive and threatening manner and must stop him from the cycle of his abuse toward me and our children,” Richards claimed in divorce papers.
Will Charlie go to rehab again? Will they undergo marital counseling? Will they get a divorce? Only time will tell! Charlie is due in court on February 8th, so we'll have to wait a while to find out his fate.
