Charlie Sheen's Character Returns to 'Two And A Half Men'

But…I thought he died!

Two and a Half Men creator Chuck Lorre has plenty up his sleeve to revive the ratings of the Ashton Kutcher-version of the show. One of those tricks includes bringing back Charlie Sheen…sort of.

Oh, by the way--spoiler alert…but it’s kinda worth it.

CBS has announced that they’ve cast someone else to play the ghost of Sheen’s character, Charlie Harper.

Is it Emilio Estevez? Not quite. It’s Kathy Bates. I know, the resemblance is uncanny. In the April 30th episode, Bates will play Charlie’s ghost, who visits his brother Alan (Jon Cryer), who will suffer a minor heart attack in that episode.

Charlie was killed off, tongue-and-cheekily, at the start of this past season, after Charlie Sheen went into full-blown meltdown mode.

Chuck hasn’t been shy about referencing Charlie’s tumultuous departure, but it’ll be interesting to see how Kathy takes on the character’s return.

It’s still unknown whether Ashton will return for a tenth season. His addition to the show after Sheen’s departure didn’t rake in the ratings that Chuck was hoping for. But, either way, his cast members have been enjoying him.

Jon Cryer told Hollyscoop: “Ashton's a goofball! And he's willing to do anything, which is great. He has no dignity.”

Chuck Lorre told Hollyscoop: “[Ashton]’s going to be governor of California someday.”

Angus T. Jones, who plays Jake Harper on the show, says that although he misses Charlie Sheen, “Ashton’s awesome.”

Meanwhile, Charlie has had his first day on the set of Anger Management. An on set source says Sheen was “all smiles.”
