We’ve just learned that Charlie Sheen has entered rehab! His rep just confirmed the news to E!, saying the actor decided upon it as a “preventative measure.”
The statement reads: "As a preventative measure, Charlie Sheen has entered a rehabilitation facility. He will take some time off his series Two and a Half Men. He has asked that his privacy be honored."
No word on where Charlie is currently enrolled, and how long he plans on staying. But we can’t help but wonder if this is connected to the visit paid to the couple’s house on Sunday by child protective services.
At this time, it’s also unknown who is caring for the couple’s 11-month old twin boys Bob and Max. Story developing…
Update: Sources are telling TMZ that Sheen’s decision to enter rehab today came extremely abruptly, and that there’s concern his bail may have been revoked in Colorado. Charlie also didn’t show up to work on the set yesterday or today, and that’s when the production staff was notified that their star would be absent indefinitely. Apparently the show is now scrambling to make sure they have enough episodes for CBS.
