Santa Claus Sheen strikes again!
Charlie Sheen is continuing his gift-giving ways, this time offering up a generous donation to help in a young girl’s struggle against cancer. The actor donated a hefty $75,000 to the daughter of police officer Everitt Faulk whom he recently befriended.
Jasmine Faulk, a 10-year-old from Hermosa Beach, California, is suffering from Childhood Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of cancer that attacks the muscle tissue.
According to TMZ, Charlie had a conversation with Jasmine’s father where he learned about her condition.
“No parent should have to watch their kid go through that,” he reportedly said before promising to help out.
The next day, Sheen took action, whipping out his pocketbook and scribbling a check for $75K to the Hermosa Beach Police Association.
What’s more, Charlie’s stunt-double Eddie Braun added to the cause, writing his own check for $25,000 (an equally if not more generous donation based on a stuntman’s salary).
The checks—totaling $100K (#math!)—have generated a fund as well as a Facebook page in Jasmine’s honor.
Her family tells the celebrity gossip site that they are extremely grateful for the pair’s donations.
As we previously reported, Charlie seems to be in the gift-giving mood lately. This year alone he has donated $250,000 along with one percent of his “Anger Management” salary to the United Service Organizations, as well as another $250,000 (which he scored for a brief appearance in Scary Movie 5) to other charities.
Most recently, he gave away $100,000 to Lindsay Lohan to keep out of the crosshairs of the IRS.
Unlike the Faulk family, though, LiLo—he says—has yet to thank him for that one…
