Call them underdogs… Call them undeserving… But, for the first time ever, call them Stanley Cup champions!

At the Staples Center Monday night, the Los Angeles Kings hammered the final nail into a coffin that held the New Jersey Devils’ hopes for the title. The team came out strong with 6-1 victory for their fourth and final win in the series. And coming out to support them were all of your favorite stars.

Alyssa Milano hooped and hollered for her favorite players. The actress is a veteran when it comes to the world of sports, having designed Major League baseball’s female clothing line and written a book “Safe at Home: Confessions of a Baseball Fanatic.”

No doubt about it, hockey was all that was on Alyssa’s mind Monday night as she yelled to the Kings going into the third period strong with a 4-1 lead over the Devils. She was in the stands last week when the Kings failed to sweep the series at home.

Also making an appearance both weeks was Matthew Perry, who chatted it up with nearby fans once the Kings had secured the win.

James Gandolfini sat his “Sopranos” self nearby, looking stone-faced as ever and snapping an iPhone photo. The New Jersey native was obviously upset that his Devils had dropped the ball. Cheer up, Tony… It’s our first win. Let us have this!

Also spotted in the crowd was Galaxy soccer star David Beckham, who smiled his big, beautiful smile and cheered on his fellow Los Angeles athletes in a T-shirt. (Isn’t it cold in there?)

Unfortunately, no other Charlie Sheen incidents have been reported yet… The “Anger Management” star was not allowed re-entry into the arena during last Wednesday’s game when he stepped out for a cigarette break. Needlessly to say, he was not a happy camper.

The incident did spur a tweet from the official New Jersey Devils Twitter on Friday, urging him to the other side for game five in Jersey:

“We’ll treat you w/ courtesy&common sense @CharlieSheen come to the game tomorrow we have great staff & a smoking balcony.”

No word on whether Charlie took them up on that offer…

And so ends another great year of hockey. Today, the stars, the heroic players, and the city of Los Angeles in general all sleep in, hung over from celebration.
