CBS Backing Charlie Sheen

Well, Charlie Sheen doesn’t have to worry about his job security! The CBS network has decided to back their Two And A Half Men star Charlie Sheen, even as he faces criminal charges in Colorado and is checked into rehab.

A joint statement released by the network and studio yesterday reads: “CBS, Warner Bros. Television and show creator Chuck Lorre support Charlie Sheen in his decision today to begin voluntary in-patient care at a treatment center.”

In related news, Charlie and Brooke Mueller’s children seem to be in good hands. According to Lisa Rinna, the kids are being cared for by a woman who used to be her nanny as well. She tweeted this morning, “Good news is the sheen babies r being well taken care of by our beloved nanny that was with us for 6 yrs she is a god send.”

That’s better than them being with Brooke in rehab!

Update: TMZ is reporting that Charlie’s ex-wife Denise Richards was involved with getting the actor into rehab. A source says Richards contacted a show executive Monday morning and said she was concerned about Charlie relapsing and wanted someone to step in and convince him to go to rehab. Interesting that she cares so much!
