It’s been learned that the father of Charice Pempengco, who plays Sunshine Corazon on Glee, has been stabbed to death in the Philippines in a random assault.

Ricky Pempengco was shopping when he ran into a man named Angel Capili who stabbed Pembengco with an ice pick, according to reports by Laguna province police chief, Gilbert Cruz.

Capili is not in custody as he fled the scene immediately afterwards. Currently a manhunt is underway for the mans capture and a reward of 20,000 pesos ($470) has been attached to any information leading to his arrest.

Charice Pempengco was estranged from her father for most of her life but says that doesn’t mean she isn’t completely devastated by the loss.

Rumors have been flying around this morning that 18-year-old singing sensation Charice got Botox! We didn’t believe it, until seeing a video with proof she had the procedure done!

The Filipino starlet, who’s set to guest star on Glee and is also gearing up for a tour, got injected with Botox and skin-tightening Thermage so she would “look fresh on camera.”

That’s according to the AP! Dermatologist in the Phillipines Vicki Belo said she wanted to altar the shape of Charice’s face, which she says has changed because of her gum chewing. “Charice's face, I’ve been noticing, it's been getting wider,” said Belo. “Our chewing muscles, if you chew a lot of gums, it gets bigger.”

But Charice seems to be more concerned with how she’ll look onscreen next to Glee star Lea Michele. She said, "All people will be anticipating how will Charice look? Is she good enough to pit against Rachel Berry? So of course there is tremendous pressure.”

But Charice’s rep insists the Botox was for medical reasons. "She's had Botox for some jaw pain she's experiencing,” said the rep.
