Dennis Quaid and Channing Tatum have been cast to play the leads in the action film “G.I. Joe,” Variety reports.
Hottie Channing Tatum will play the lead soldier in the movie while Quaid will play the team leader.
The film will be directed by Stephen Sommers and filming will begin sometime next month in Los Angeles.
"Tatum's character works closely on missions with Ripcord, a team member that will be played by Marlon Wayans. Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Rachel Nichols, Sienna Miller, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Said Taghmaoui are also in the ensemble."
"G.I. Joe" is set for release on Aug. 7, 2009.
