We’ve all enjoyed watching Channing Tatum shake his moneymaker since he decided to Step Up into the forefront of women’s fantasies in 2006.
Now it seems we are going to get a chance to take the whole obsession to a higher level – by watching Tatum fly through the air!
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Tatum is all set to play Evel Knievel in the forthcoming Columbia Pictures bio-pic about the legend himself.
Knievel is the infamous Americana-clad daredevil who rose to fame in the 1970’s for his death defying, heavily televised motorcycle jumping stunts that earned him worldwide notoriety, and a total of 433 broken bones.
If you still don’t know who he is, it’s all about Google. It’s worth the lookup for Knievel’s flamboyant red, white and blue outfits alone.
And as a side note, back to the main attraction: if your personal version of Christian Gray looks a lot like Tatum himself, this whole thing is very good news.
His turn as Evel gets him a shade closer to possibly landing the highly coveted role, as this film is being produced by the same team slated to work on the “Fifty Shades” adaptation.
Cross your fingers.
But if you’re having trouble waiting for any of this, Channing can currently be seen, in full force, as a male stripper in the very loosely based autobiographical film, Magic Mike.
Hey, even pretty boys need to make a buck.
