A writhing set of abs in Magic Mike, Step Up, and a handful of other movies. People’s Sexiest Man Alive. Father to newborn baby girl. All of these roles may have never happened to Channing Tatum considering it was never his intent to pursue a Hollywood career in the first place.
"To be honest, I didn't have a college education, so I would have settled on any career that made some sort of money that was respectful,” Channing confessed to the Hollywood Reporter. “I never planned on being an actor. I definitely never planned on being a model."
On Channing’s path to stardom, he forwent getting a college education, considering other options instead like the military or a career taking care of animals.
“I worked at a puppy-kitty nursery in Tampa, Florida, for about a year or something,” he said. “At that time, I thought maybe I should get a job as a vet tech. I thought maybe I'd go to a tech school for that. I just really don't like school. I am not good at it, especially at that time in my life.”
Obviously though, it all worked out. His odd jobs eventually led him to Los Angeles where he was discovered and within a decade he's starring in action movies alongside Jaime Foxx and has his own production. But more importantly, Channing Tatum as a veterinarian? We think there might be a movie there.
