Several days ago, the Internet went nuts when we all found out that Magic Mike star Channing Tatum and his best friend and business partner Keith Kurtz were opening a Magic Mike inspired bar in New Orleans called “Saints and Sinners.”
"OMG, I can experience that movie in real life," we all wondered...well, don’t drop your panties just yet. Hollyscoop got the exclusive story on Channing’s steamy new bar but it’s not going to feature Joe Manganiello or his fire hose.
“Not all those rumors are true,” Keith Kurtz, Channing’s childhood friend and co-owner of Saints and Sinners, tells Hollyscoop, “There are small shows involved but not the ‘Magic Mike’ cast dancing in their undies like all the rumors are saying.”
The bar is not a male revue kind of place. This is no Chippendales. But Kurtz does promise that there will be “little shows” in the style of “1890’s and 1920’s storyville.”
We’re guessing it’s a vaudeville inspired show with a little red light district flavor?
“The place is not a huge stripper club or anything,” Keith says with a laugh, “It's a historical style building that goes with the culture and feel of New Orleans Bourbon Street and that’s what we love about it.”
The place is set to have a huge opening night party that Keith says Channing will definitely attend.
Keith says it’s a place “to unwind and have a good time. You can come eat and listen to music and dance and converse and go home making about 10 new friends.”
We’re sad there’s no “Magic Mike” action, but the place sounds awesome anyway!
