Most celebrities have an interesting route to fame. Some get their start on reality TV shows, other’s hustle until they land that big audition. And some stars got their start as strippers. Stripper one day, Lady Gaga the next.

These are the celebrities who used to be strippers.

Lady Gaga: Lady Gaga was a stripper!? Are you surprised? She dresses like a stripper most of the time anyways. Gaga says she started working in clubs at age 18. Maybe that was the inspiration behind “Marry The Night?”

Channing Tatum: Ever since Channing Tatum signed on to play a male stripper in “Magic Mike” everyone found out he used to be a male stripper in real life as well. Somehow this made him hotter, unfortunately for female celebs it doesn’t help their public image any. Fun Fact: His stage name was “Chan Crawford.”
Sometimes in Hollywood, stars get a little bashful and hire a “stunt ass.” Meaning, a stand-in strips down for the naked scenes and no, that naked ass you saw in “Friends With Benefits” did not belong to Mila Kunis.

Matthew McConaughey stars in the new male-stripper movie “Magic Mike” and says all that partially clothed nudity you see on the big screen…it’s all him!

“That’s all me up there,” McConaughey tells the

Channing Tatum is the ‘wow’ behind ‘The Vow’, but ladies, put away your shopping carts, because this man is not on the market.

Channing married actress Jenna Dewan in 2009; three years later and the two are still going strong. Hollyscoop caught up with the stunning couple at ‘The Vow’ movie premiere in Los Angeles, and they told us about what’s in store for them next as a couple.
It’s exciting to meet your favorite celebrities, but maybe not when you’re simultaneously fighting for your life. Imagine the adreneline going through your body. And is it okay to ask for an autograph later? I mean, they’ve already done so much…

Plenty of celebs have used their power and influence for good—to help someone in need. Sometimes, celebrity has nothing to do with it and it’s just a regular act of humanity, helping your fellow human being because it’s the right thing to do. Today, we’re celebrating some heroic acts from some of our favorite celebrities.

Sofia Vergara: The Modern Family star rushed to help a young woman who collapsed outside the Bellagio at 3 am on New Year’s Eve. Sofia has some medical training, so she checked the woman’s pulse and stayed with her on the scene until paramedics arrived.
Stephen Soderbergh's new flick Haywire stars Hollywood heartthrob Channing Tatum and a face you might not recognize. Haywire marks the acting debut of former UFC fighter and Mixed Martial Artist, Gina Carano. And why should we care about Gina Carano? Because Channing Tatum tells Hollyscoop that Carano is "probably hotter than most girls that you've ever been with."

That's a lot to live up to, but we think Carano will do just fine
HOLLYSCOOP EXCLUSIVE
Channing Tatum just gave an interview to Details magazine where he admitted, "I know I'm not the best actor" and with a face like that, does he really need to be?

Hollyscoop caught up with the hot star at the Haywire Los Angeles premiere, where he told us that he is "not a funny guy" and should be thanking Jonah Hill for his comedic turn in new movie 21 Jump Street.

He always has his shirt off anyway, so why not? Matthew McConaughey and White Collar star Matt Bomer have officially signed on to Magic Mike, a Steven Soderbergh movie about male strippers.

I'm guessing McConaughey showed up for auditions wearing nothing but a Speedo and a cowboy hat, and when casting praised him for his costume, he responded, "what costume?"

The movie is inspired by Channing Tatum's real-life days as a male stripper. Yep, Channing Tatum used to windmill for money. Or whatever dance moves male strippers do, I have no idea. In the flick, Tatum will play an exotic dancer named Magic Mike, and McConaughey plays a retired stripper. Bomer and Alex Pettyfer will also play strippers in the movie.

Tatum danced back in 1999 and describes it as "a wild and pivotal time in my life."
G.I. Joe star Channing Tatum is so proud of his package, it became the subject of a new article in Details magazine.

While the majority of the February 2010 article is devoted to his package, the first sentence in the piece is "Channing Tatum's penis is gross," and goes on to describe his penis as a "hot dog that's been left too long on the grill. The tip is hot-pink, singed and shriveled."

Channing recently scorched his stick on a film set and lived to tell his tale--to the world. Here are some highlights from the interview:

Channing on his burnt penis: “It was the most painful thing I have ever experienced in my life…I’ve been to the hospital, gotten stitches, had broken fingers and toes. But this was a suffocating kind of pain…Now my penis is fantastic!”

Channing on depression: “The longer I took Dexedrine, the worse I felt. It sucked all the personality from me. I’d get depressed. I would think suicidal – I was never personally suicidal, but I could see how some kids were, how they’d be, like, I can’t take this anymore.”

Channing on his dancing: “I’ve been wanting to talk about this forever! You have publicists and managers saying no, and I’m like, Mmm-mmm, it’s gonna come out… I think it’s hil-larious… I’m gonna make a movie about it…I’m happy I did it.”
