M.I.A. Wants to Build Schools in Liberia

M.I.A. wants to do more than just rock. She's putting some of her money towards building schools for children in Liberia. Seems like this trend started by Oprah is really catching on! She's not afraid to tell people how much she makes and where it's going!

M.I.A. told reporters she was given $100,000 for performing at the MTV Movie Awards after party on Sunday. "They're giving me $100,000. Not bad, eh? I'm going to use it to build schools in Liberia. It costs $52,000 to build a school for 1,000."

We love her! Awesome music and awesome attitude! This girl is definitely on the up and up.
