Kate Walsh Opens Animal Shelter

February 08, 2008

Animal-lover Kate Walsh donated her time and money to opening a new dog adoption center in New York City yesterday.

Walsh cut the ribbon to officially open the Pedigree Dogstore in Times Square, where visitors can either adopt dogs short-term, learn about adoption, or simply make donations.

Walsh says, "It breaks my heart to know that there are so many loving dogs in shelters just waiting to find homes.

"It's impossible to articulate the happiness that my adopted dog Lucy brings to my life - so I'm excited to be a part of a program that is committed to raising awareness and funding for these wonderful animals."

What does "Adopt dogs short-term" mean? Adopt a dog for two weeks and then give it back????? Think about the way you write your frickin' articles!
