Actress Catherine Zeta Jones was born on September 25, 1969 in Swansea, West Glamorgan, Wales.
She began acting at an early age, playing the lead in the production of Annie at Swansea's Grand Theater. After a successful stint overseas, Catherine came to America to enhance her career.
Catherine's first major role came in the 1996 action film, The Phantom. Soon after, she was cast in The Mask of Zorro opposite Antonio Banderas.
Zeta-Jones earned a Golden Globe nomination for her performance in Traffic. In 2002, she won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the musical Chicago.
Catherine is married to actor Michael Douglas and the couple has two children.
