Cate Blanchett: Women With Plastic Surgery Frighten Me
I guess Cate Blanchett will never be invited to Plastic Surgery Party at the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills houses. Her loss.

Cate opened up to Fashionista about her absolute fear of plastic surgery.

“I’m not sitting on a soapbox telling women what they should and shouldn’t do, but I know what works for me. I’d just be too frightened about what it means long term,” says Blanchett.

I always thought Blanchett had had some work done. I guess her face is just naturally unflawed. Lucky. She’s one of this generations most beautiful faces, but let’s hope her looks stay with her, because she’s pretty adamant about never going under the knife.

“In the end if you have all that stuff done…in the end you just see the work. It doesn’t fill me with admiration, it fills me with pity.”

So Cate Blanchett isn’t getting on a soapbox about her stance on plastic surgery, but she is definitely judging you for it. Basically, when she looks into your creaseless face and perpetual wide-eyes, she doesn’t think “aww, how youthful,” it’s more like, “Ugghh, cat lady,” and maybe also, “what real housewives cast are you on?”

“There’s been a decade or so of people doing intervention with their face and their body. Now that we’re emerging from that people are seeing that long term it’s not so great.”

I would love to hear her thoughts on Heidi Montag. She’s probably like, “who?”
